AR26 Charity are excited to be involved in our first ever Virtual Kiltwalk this month!
As a thank you to our supporters taking part we will share some of their stories with you to thank them for getting involved and hopefully inspire more people to join our team, as there is still time!
Meet the McKeown family who we are proud to have on our team! The family of football fanatics have set themselves the task of embarking on as many fun challenges as they can this year as a family, with the aim of raising as much money as possible for their chosen charities.
They decided to kick-off their year of charity filled family fun with the Virtual Kiltwalk and decided to join the AR26 Tartan Army team. Their family team consists of Dad (Peter), Daughter (Clare) and son (David). As huge Scotland fans and as excitement builds for Euro 2020 they wanted to support AR26 as they are passionate about football being open to all and inspiring young people through engagement with the game.
Peter will walk 15 miles over the course of the weekend and Clare and David will walk, run and cycle a total of 24 miles across the weekend.
Their training is well underway with them walking 4 miles most days, cycling up to 8 miles per training session and they have also climbed Tinto Hill. As part of the training Peter has lost almost two stone, which is an incredible achievement!
We are delighted to have the McKeown family as part of our team and thank them for their dedication and support, we hope you will join them in taking part and joining the AR26 Tartan Army team!
Remember the two beauties of the virtual Kiltwalk is that you can join our team from anywhere in the world and The Hunter Foundation will very kindly top up anything you donate by 50%. Join us on our march to Euro 2020 and sign up for the Virtual Kiltwalk today:
